Roasted Asian Green Beans
12 Ounces Green Beans
1 Red Bell Pepper
1 Shallot, large
1 Tablespon Soy Sauce
1 Tablespoon Sesame Oil
1 Tablespoon Sesame Seeds
1/4 teaspoon Crushed Red Pepper
Break or cut the stringy stems off of the beans.
You can leave the tip on.
Slice the red pepper thin.
Peel and slice the shallot thin.
Gather and measure soy sauce, sesame oil, sesame seeds and crushed pepper.
Place into a large mixing bowl.
Place vegetables into a mixing bowl.
Mix everything together and let marinade for half an hour.
Place foil over a sheet pan.
Heat BBQ grill or oven to about 450°.
Place pan on grill or into oven and heat for five minutes.
Using an oven mit, carefully pour green beans onto the hot pan.
Close lid and roast beans for a couple minutes.
Open lid and mix the beans a couple times.
Roast another few minutes until tender.
The beans will need to cook for about 8 to 10 minutes in total.
When beans look ready taste one to make sure.
Remove pan from heat and serve.
