Frozen Raspberry-Banana Drops
with chocolate and walnuts

also called banana split drops

Ingredients:

3      Very Ripe Bananas
1      Cup Fresh Raspberries
2      Tbs. Chopped Walnuts, or almonds or shredded unsweetened coconut or a combination
3      Tbs. Grated Chocolate, unsweetened

Peel bananas and place into a mixing bowl.

Measure raspberries, chocolate and nuts.

Place into bowl with bananas.

Use a small whisk to smash and mix the ingredients together.

You can leave some chunks of banana and raspberry for texture and appearance.

This is the blended mixture that is ready to freeze.

Note:
You can also put a few scoops of the mix into small bowls and chill in the fridge.

Once chilled you can enjoy as a healthy, delicious pudding.

Using a small scoop, drop about a tablespoon of the mixture onto a dinner plate or platter.

Place the drops into the freezer for a few hours.

Once frozen use a small spatula to pop the drops off of the plate.

Place drops into a freezer bag and keep in the freezer.

Use a paper napkin to hold the frozen drops as you eat them as they are very cold and a little messy.

New Taste Thinking:

I love to use unsweetened chocolate in recipes with fruit. As you taste the chocolate you will first taste the natural somewhat bitter flavor of the cocoa. As you leave the chocolate in you mouth the subtle sweeteners in the fruit will turn the chocolate flavor to sweet.
Here is another great example of that flavor combination using
papaya.
