Hot Cocoa Oat Bran Cereal
Serves 2


Ingredients:

1 1/2   Cups Water
1/2      Cup Oat Bran

3         Medjool Dates, sliced
1         Tbs. Cocoa Powder
1         Tbs. Flax Seed Meal

2         Tbs. Walnuts, chopped
1          Banana. sliced

Place water, cocoa and dates into a pan.

Bring water to a boil and add oat bran.

Turn down heat and gently cook for about 8 minutes.

You will need to stir the pot often.

You may need another couple Tablespoons of water.

When oat bran is cooked add flax seed and mix well.

Divide cooked oat bran into two bowl and garnish with banana and walnuts.

New Taste Thinking:

Yes, I honestly do like oat bran. I feel that it has a great texture and enjoy the creamy consistency. I also like using dates as a sweetener in dishes like this one. Dates are 51% natural sugar. They dissolve during the cooking process and add a subtle sweetness that pairs well with the bran and cocoa powder.
