 Banana-Date-Nut Oatmeal


With Whole Grain Granola Crunch


Yields 2 portions

Ingredients:

1 3/4        Cups Water       
1             Cup Oatmeal  
2             Large Medjool Dates, pitted
Pinch     Salt, tiny pinch
1             Banana, medium size, ripe
1             Tbs. Pecans Almonds or Walnuts


 


Place dates, water and salt into a pot.

Turn heat to medium-high.





Add oats to the pot.

Stir and cook ingredients with a small whisk.

Bring liquid to a boil; turn down to a simmer.

Cook and constantly stir for about 4 minutes.

Dates will dissolve during cooking process.



Remove cooked oatmeal from the heat.

Peel and add the banana.


Smash and whisk banana into the oatmeal.

Place oatmeal into a serving bowl.

Sprinkle with cinnamon and nuts or
 Whole Grain Granola.
