Figs & Dates...Natures Candy

Date Recipe:
10 Medjool Dates 4 Tbs. Pistachio Nuts 1 Peach or Nectarine

Fig Recipe:
10 Walnut Halves 1 Recipe Figgy Spread 2 Dried Turkish Figs

Place pistachio nuts onto a cutting board and chop.
Nuts can be chopped fine or coarse.

Wipe any dust off of the dates.

Make a slice on one side of the date.
Remove the pit.

Fill the date with about a teaspoon of nuts.
| |
Slice peach into wedges.
Peach needs to be ripe and firm.
| |
Place peach wedge into date and serve.
| |
Dig through your walnuts and find a handful of unbroken walnut halves.

Scoop some figgy spread onto a spoon.
| |
Slice figs into thin circles for garnish.
You can eat the trimmings.

Spread the figgy spread over the walnut half.
Top the spread with a fig slice and serve.

Wrap or cover leftover figs and dates.
Keep them in the fridge.
They are great when you crave something super-sweet.
