8 Tiny Gala Apples, I found these at the farmers market 8 Tbsp. Granola, any kind 2 Pinches Ground Cinnamon 1 Cup Apple Juice 2 Tbsp. Maple Syrup 1 Tbsp. Raisins 2 Drops Vanilla Extract
Heat Oven To 350 Degrees
Rinse and dry apples.
Remove the stem.
Slice off the very bottom of the apple.
Use a small spoon to scoop out the seeds.
I like to use this 1/2 teaspoon as a scoop.
Try to leave as much of the apple as you can.
Process all of the apples in the same way.
Place apples into a small baking dish.
Sprinkle the inside with a pinch of cinnamon.
Fill apples with a tablespoon of granola.
Add apple juice to the dish.
Cover apples tightly with foil.
Bake in the oven for 45 to 50 minutes.
Apples will be cooked soft.
Remove dish from the oven.
Take the foil off and let cool for 20 minuets.
Place apples into a smaller dish or bowl.
You will have about a cup of liquid left in the dish.
Strain liquid from the baking dish into a small pan.
Add raisins, pinch of cinnamon, maple syrup and vanilla.
Bring ingredients to a fast boil.
Let liquid boil for a couple of minutes.
Sauce will reduce and thicken.
Remove from heat when sauce is about as thick as maple syrup.
Pour syrup and raisins over the apples.
Cover bowl with plastic or foil and place into the fridge for a few hours before serving.
