5 Cloves Garlic 1 Stalk Celery 2 Ounces Ginger 1 Tbs. Lime Juice 1 Tbs. Brown Rice Vinegar, or any kind you like 2 Tbs. Soy Sauce 1 Tbs. Sesame Oil 1/2 Onion, Sliced Thin 1 Serrano or Jalapeno Pepper, or less if you want a mild soup 1/2 Tbs. Chinese Five Spice Powder 7 Cups Chicken Stock, fresh or box
1 Pound Chicken Breast 4 Ounces Shiitake Mushrooms, sliced thin 8 Ounces Pasta, I like whole wheat spaghetti 1 Cup Bean Sprouts 1/2 Cup Sliced Basil, fresh 1/2 Cup Chopped Cilantro 3 Green Onions, slice thin 1 Pinch Salt, if needed
Smash and peel the garlic.
Slice onion thin.
Cut up the celery.
Slice the ginger into round circles.
Cut serrano in half.
Place first eleven ingredients into a large pot.
Bring liquid to a boil and turn heat down to a very slow gentle simmer.
