Grilled Pork Chop

Ingredients:

1   Pork Chop, 8 ounce, boneless
1   tsp. Pork Spice Blend
2   tsp. Olive Oil

Directions:
Cut all visible fat from pork chop.
Cut pork chop in half lengthwise.
Flatten pork chop a bit with a mallet.
You don't need to pound it thin.

Pork Spice Blend

1    tsp.   Granulated Garlic
1    tsp.   Cajun Spice Mix
1/2 tsp.   Salt
1/2 tsp.   Oregano, dry
1/2 tsp.   Black Pepper, coarse grind
1/2 tsp.   Fennel Seed

Mix all ingredients together.

Dust pork with spice blend.

Drizzle with olive oil.

Rub spice and oil into pork.

Heat grill and grill pork chops.

Cook on one side for a minute.

Turn a half turn and cook another minute.

This side will now have triangle grill marks.

Turn over and repeat.

Total cooking time is around 5 minutes.

New Taste Thinking:

Almost all of my lean protein dishes are simple and easy to prepare. My thinking is that the vegetable and grain dishes are more complicated and elaborate.
They take up more time and benefit from a longer list of ingredients.
A good piece of meat, poultry or fish does not need much help to taste great.
It just needs to be cooked correctly and seasoned lightly. IMHO
