Blueberry-Banana Breakfast Blast


makes two regular size smoothies or one jumbo



Ingredients:

1/2   Cup Blueberries, I use fresh-frozen
1/2   Cup Fresh Squeezed Orange Juice
1/2   Cup Low Fat Plain Yogurt
1/2   Banana
1/4   Cup
Multi-Grain Granola or 1/2 cup if you like it really thick
2      Ice Cubes



Wash & drain fresh blueberries, keep in the freezer.

Frozen blueberries also make a great snack.

Measure and place blueberries into blender.



Squeeze oranges to make 1/2 cup of juice.

Add juice, banana and yogurt to blender.


Add granola and ice to the blender.

Puree ingredients together.

Pour into one or two glasses and enjoy!


New Taste Thinking:

Smoothies can be very healthy and very un-healthy, depending on who makes them. The same can be said about so many food products. It is very important to be able to see the exact ingredients that go into the food we eat. Once we have that knowledge we can make our own decisions as to what we want to eat. If this does not seem fair to some individuals we have to wonder why.
