Steel Cut Oats
with Cinnamon, Apples and Dates

Crock Pot Steel Cut Oatmeal

Ingredients:
1 Cup Steel Cut Oats
4 Cups Water
1 Apple
3 Dates
1/2 teaspoon Ground Cinnamon
1 pinch Salt

Place all ingredients into crock pot.
Mix everything together.

Cover the pot and place into cooking pot.
Cook on high for 4 hours.

Oats are ready when all of the water has been absorbed and grain is soft yet still a little chewy.

Mix everything together and serve.

3/4 Cup Cooked Oats
5 Walnut Halves, chopped
1/3 Whole Apple, diced
1 Sprinkle of Ground Cinnamon
1 teaspoon Honey or Maple Syrup (optional)

Place cooked oats into a bowl.
Sprinkle with walnuts and apple.
Add a touch of cinnamon and if needed honey or maple syrup.

Spoon remaining oats evenly into three bowls.
Let cool and cover with plastic wrap.
Place into the refrigerator until needed.
To heat, simple place into microwave for a minute or so, until hot.
