Turkey Chop Steak Veracruzana

Ingredients:

2      Pounds Ground Turkey, breast or mixed
1      Green Onion
1      Jalapeno Pepper, or just 1/2
3      Cloves Garlic
2      Tbs. Cilantro, chopped
2      Tbs. Flat Leaf Parsley, chopped
2       tsp. Cumin, ground
2       tsp. Chili Powder, dark
1       tsp. Salt
1/2    tsp. Oregano, dry
1/2    tsp. Ground Black Pepper
2       Cups
Veracruzana Sauce
2       Fried Baked Potatoes

Place parsley, cilantro, jalapeno, green onion and garlic onto cutting board.

Give the ingredients a rough chop to get them started.

Continue chopping the ingredients until they are minced fine.

Place ground turkey into a mixing bowl.

Add the minced herbs to the bowl.

Add cumin, chili, oregano, salt and pepper to the bowl.

Using your clean hands, mix ingredients together.

Divide the mix into 4 or 5 portions.

Flatten and shape the ground turkey into oval patties.

Turkey can be cooked on a grill, griddle, broiler or pan as you would any hamburger.

I recommend cooking them out on the BBQ.

Turkey burgers must be cooked all the way through to the medium-well stage, about 165 degrees.

Serve turkey chop steaks with half a cup of Veracruzana Sauce and a couple slices of potato.
