Working w/ Bulgur Wheat

Yields 6 Cups Cooked Bulgur


8  Cups Boiling Water
2  Cups Bulgur Wheat

Bring water to a full boil.

Add bulgur wheat and return to a boil.

Boil for a few seconds.

.


Pour water and bulgur into a large bowl.

Let bulgur sit in the water for 15 minutes.



Pour water and bulgur into a strainer.

Spray bulgur with cold water for a few seconds.

Allow the bulgur to drain for a five minutes.



Bulgur is ready to use at this time.

For best results:
Place bulgur into a covered container or freezer bag and refrigerate for a few hours.

This will allow the grains to plump up a bit and improve the texture.
